find the x and y intercepts of 2x-4y=-12 show your work please and thankyouuuuu

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I will not give the answer - do you want to work WITH me? or wait for someone else to do the work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not asking for the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im asking for someone to show me how to solve the problem like show me a method to use so i know how to use it as far as future problems otherwise im not learning im not the person that just wants an answer

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Do you know the formula y= mx +b for a straight line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Actually - ignore that - it is not necessary The intercepts are where the line crosses the axes The x intercept is where y=0 the y intercept is where x=0: |dw:1408727857696:dw| So tak the equation and put y= 0 then solve it for x then take the equation and put x = 0 and solve it for y
