Factors are numbers that when multiplied together give another number. In this case, to find the factors of 28 and 48, we break the numbers down. Eg: (1 x 28 = 28, hence 1 and 28 are factors of 28) So, we have: Factors of 28: 1, 2, 4, 7, 14, 28 Factors of 48: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 48 To find the greatest common factor, we choose the biggest number that is in common between 28 and 48. Therefore, the answer is 4.
