Why was tea important to China’s economy and its relationship with other countries

Tea has been in China for thousands of years. Not only was it important in their lives and considered very special, but they used it for healing as well. They said it could cure abscesses around the head, help blatter and lung infections, quenching thirst, staying awake, and all around well being in yourself. They drank it at every meal. It was made from herbs and leaves. It was and is also a sign of formality, grace, and respect, especially if you could perform a tea ceremony with no difficulty. Tea was also a sign of social standing, depending what type you drank. China is also a major tea exporter, making it a huge part of its economy and trades with other countries. Since they were and are famous for their different types of tea leaves.

Tea was one of their better exports becuase it has been used for hundreds of years ever since the agricultural revolution.
