In comparing the graphs of y = 3x and y = 2x, which statement is TRUE? Select one: a. The graph of y = 3x is further away form the y-axis than y = 2x. b. The graph of y = 2x is further away form the y-axis than y = 3x. c. The graph of y = 2x increases at a slower rate than y = 3x. d. The graph of y = 3x increases at a slower rate than y = 2x.

@TylerD

OpenStudy (tylerd):

y=3x 3(2)=6 y=2x 2(2)=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so which one are we looking at

OpenStudy (tylerd):

which one do you think increases faster?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

out of those two?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x 3(2)=6

OpenStudy (tylerd):

ya id say so, but the thing is ii also feel that because y=2x has more run then rise.compared to y=3x, y=2x will be further away from the y-axis. so im not exactly sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is our answer choices between c and d?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

b and c

OpenStudy (tylerd):

id lean towards c but, dunno

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok gotcha
