A question involving peak voltage, question in attached file, thanks in advance and the answer is A, but what is the basic concept?

Also I know I ask tonnes of questions but that is because I am studying on my own (No teacher) until school starts and I need to re-sit my physics C grade into An A or a B. I appreciate all the help and support (:

It is a ratio 12 : x 3: 1 |dw:1408811307195:dw| Thus x = 4 volt frequency = number of periods per second period = 1/F the 2 signals have the same F so period = 1/50 = 0.02 period / sec ms = 10^-3 sec then period = 0.02/10^-3 = 20 period /ms.
