Briefly compare and contrast the two disciplines, geography and geology.

Hm. Geology is more of what is there for the land. are their rivers or mountains or plains. Geography is more of the people and their environment. Geography has more to it in terms of climate and things like that. Geology is more set in stone (no pun intended). The volcano on the land is going to be there for a long time. That's my best answer.
