give.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm trying to post a pic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did it lolz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give it to mee

OpenStudy (tylerd):

well what do you think a y intercept is?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

its the y value when x = 0

OpenStudy (tylerd):

they give you the equation for f(x). but they give you a table for g(x).

OpenStudy (tylerd):

we have f(x)=x+4 f(0)=0+4=4 so where would you say the y intercept is for f(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Four then?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

(0,4) ya

OpenStudy (tylerd):

so now for g(x) we have to use the table to determine the equation

OpenStudy (tylerd):

g(-1)=8 (-1,8) g(1)=0 (1,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay but that's the x intercept not the y right? For g of x that is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there a formula I'm supposed to be using

OpenStudy (tylerd):

y=mx+b so use the y2-y1/x2-x1 = M (slope)
