what do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the solution of \[\log_{x-3} 125= 3\] @IMStuck @SolomonZelman @bibby @kirbykirby @Speedywalker

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

First, use the definition of the logarithm into exponential form: \[ \large \log_ab=x ~~\text{ is the same as } ~~ a^x=b\] Then try writing 125 into a number with exponent 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm so, confused please show step I'm a visual learner

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Using the above definition, can you replace \(a\) with \((x-3)\) , and \(b\) with 125, and \(x\) with 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be rewritten as (x-3) (x-3) = 25
