Iris wants to graph the invasive snail population to show the city council. Justify what the appropriate domain and range would be for the function f(x), what the y-intercept would be, and if the function is increasing or decreasing. the equation is f(x) = 200(1.03)^2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know how to find teh y intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like, on a graph? Its where it crosses on the y but in an equation its the answer to a problem when x is zero

I don't know I'm sorry I'm really easily confused when it comes to this kind of math /.\

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y intercept is the same thing. just plug in 0 for x and that is your y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its 200(1.03)^2 solved (if we take out the x??)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no remember plugging in zero doesnt mean taking off the x |dw:1408858464970:dw|
