OpenStudy (zpupster):

first write in standard form y=mx+b can you do that??

OpenStudy (zpupster):

parallel lines have same slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm really confused @zpupster

OpenStudy (zpupster):

ok 3x-y=-3 so lets subtract 3x both sides -y = -3x-3 now lets multiply both sides by -1 y=3x+3 with me so far??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i'm here

OpenStudy (zpupster):

we know our slope is 3 next write out point slope form y-(-2)= 3(x-4) y+2=3x-12 multiplying thru parentheses now subtract 2 both sides y = ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x-10 @zpupster

OpenStudy (zpupster):

no y+2-2=3x-12-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 3x - 14 @zpupster

OpenStudy (zpupster):
