A star is a concave polygon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is true.

It is a polygon because all its sides are straight line segments that only intersect at their endpoints and enclose an area. It is concave because if you extend any of its segments and it intersects the star cutting it into 2 parts, then it is concave.
