Answer depends on how 'most' is defined, right? Most tornadoes (87%) are no stronger than EF1 unless 'most' is considered 55% in which case the answer is EF0. EF0 - 65 to 85 mph EF1 - 86 to 110 mph The old f-scale [replaced in 2007 by the 'enhanced' F-scale (EF)] F0 - 40 to 73 mph F1 - 74 to 112 mph Even though the graphic shows frequencies relative to the old F-scale ratings, the conclusion (F-scale classification) is the same.
