find the equation of a line that is parallel to y=3x-4 and passes through (1,1) how do you do it??

OpenStudy (ibbutibbu.):

Ok. the first thing i would go is graph the equation. now plot the point. then you can just move around the line to find the equation, if that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the slope of the parallel line and understanding the relationship of the given line and one that is parallel to it is another way to do this problem. Once you have the slope of the new line, use the given point and the point slope form - you will be able to find the other equation.

thank you guys for the help, i get it now
