"herpes virus forms vascular lesions in epithelial layers of ectodermal tissues" i know these lesions are in mouth , on lips or on skin make understand the terms "epithelial layers of ectodermal tissues " please

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

well as you well know, the EPITHELIUM is one of the four basic types of animal tissue, along with connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue. Epithelial tissues line (LAYERS) the cavities and surfaces of structures throughout the body, and also form many glands.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

and the ECTODERM is one of the three primary germ cell layers in the very early embryo. The other two layers (TISSUES) are the mesoderm (middle layer) and endoderm (most proximal layer), with the ectoderm as the most exterior (or distal) layer.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

So what its saying, from my understanding, is that herpes virus forms vascular lesions in / on the skin of the embryo, thus damaging the unborn child

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

At least, thats my conjecture.
