A square field has an area of 479ft^2. What is the approximate length of a side of the field? Give your answer to the nearest foot. Explain. Please explain haw you got your answer so I can do problems like this on my own in the future. Thanks.

to get area of square,you square the sides. so to get length of one side, find square root of area
ok. so the answer would be about 21.9
area of sq = side^2 so try getting the sq root of area
