I know this isnt science but may someone help me real fast? Write a question about how changing temperature affects a gas. Please and thank u
affects gas by which property....?
see temperature of the gas is directly a measure of kinetic energy of the molecule of the gas...So as temperature increases..thus it increases the kinetic energy,thus increasing the spped of the moleculs of gas. Now the increased speed causes an increase in the number of collisions and due to the increase in collisions, the pressure of the gas goes up. So equation goes like, \[V _{1}/V _{2}=T _{1}/T _{2}\] It sates that at constant pressure, the amount of space a gas takes up will increase if the temperature rises and will decrease if the temperature is lowered.
In short increasing the temperature will cause a gas to expand (increase the volume), and contract when cooled (decreasing the volume)....!! Again, if the volume is fixed, then increasing the pressure will increase the temperature, and decreasing the pressure will decrease the temperature. All these concepts are based on ideal gas equation.
it says you will be investigating how a change in temperature affects a gas inside of a container . Write a question about how changing temperature affects a gas .
@aryandecoolest
So i just need a question for my hypothesis i think
@Preetha
Oh not equation..need only to frame question??? ok!! To determine the effect of temperature on the motion of particles.
So @aryandecoolest you gave me the answer but i need a question for my hypothesis of the answer you wrote , make since?
So i can say "Hypothesis: What is the effect of temperature on the motion of particles" Correct?
yeah you can.LOL.I was soooooo confused :P
OMG thank you i was confusing my self idk how to ask a simple question geez im sorry.
Oh,,!! it was my bad. :P Anyways np :) , pleasure to help @Monica75 Anytime
NOW IT SAYS: Designing an Experiment After developing your hypothesis, the next step in the inquiry process is to design a controlled experiment in order to test your hypothesis . In a controlled experiment, all variables are kept constant except the one that you are testing. The variables you keep the same are called controlled variables. The variable that you change or test is called the manipulated variable.The variable that responds to changes you make is called the responding variable. a.How would you design a controlled experiment to test the hypothesis you made about the volume of a gas? b.What is the manipulated variable in your experiment? c.What is the responding variable in your experiment? @aryandecoolest
@johnweldon1993 you think you cann tell me a. b. & c.?
The first step of designing the experimental procedure involves planning how to change the independent variable and how to measure the impact that this change has on the dependent variable. To guarantee a fair test when conducting the experiment, make sure that the only thing changing is the independent variable. All controlled variables must remain constant........ like for your experiment pressure is held constant(*controlled variable) and volume and temp of fixed amt of gas changes. @monica75
