in the equation y=4^x, what values can x have?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

All real numbers! Do you find any restriction to x's values?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

IF you are just looking for the domain of the function in general, then yes, all real numbers. If you are looking for the domain of the function of some things and such that x^4 has to be a positive integer, then all positive integers (and some fractions that have a denominator of 2 when they are reduced.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

specifying would be good.
