is 124 divisible by 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, if 124 isnt divisible by 3, then it isnt divisible by its multiples. 6 9 12 15 18, etc.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

10 = 1 mod 9 10^n = 1^n mod 9 [1(10)^2 + 2(10)^1 + 4] (mod 9) [1(1)^2 + 2(1)^1 + 4] (mod 9) [1 + 2 + 4] (mod 9) 7 (mod 9), since its not 0 mod 9 then i doubt it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (amistre64):

12 is divisible by 3, but not by 9. so your assumption is flawed.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or my reading of it is off :)
