Find the measure of two complementary angles if the measure of one angle is 3 more than the measure of its complement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by 3 more do you mean 3 times greater than the smaller, or 3 degrees wider?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

complementary angle add up to 90 degrees let say the x is the small angle so 3 more than that would be 3+x and since they add up to 90 degrees we have x+3+x=90 solve for x
