What equation of the line passing through the points (3,-4) and (2,6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try to plot these two points on graph and find slope and intercept of them in order to make linear equation

OpenStudy (aum):

First find the slope 'm' of the line using the formula \(\Large m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\)

OpenStudy (aum):

What do you get for the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're correct. But I just give an idea before go to that point *-*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Linear equation is basically consist of slope and intercept y = m*x+c ; "m" is slope and "c" is an intercept |dw:1409018382163:dw| after you get the slope, you can use either (3, -4) or (2, 6) to substitute into an incomplete equation to get "c" value.
