Select one: a. Increases from left to right b. Decreases form left to right c. Increases from right to left d. Decreases from right to left

@rational

OpenStudy (rational):

graph it and see ? https://www.desmos.com/calculator

OpenStudy (rational):

enter the equation in that site : y = (1/3)^x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lets do this

OpenStudy (rational):

http://prntscr.com/4gljsj how does it look ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

srry this is my first time doing this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I got the same thing you got

OpenStudy (rational):

|dw:1409051652483:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is increases from right to left?

OpenStudy (rational):

if start at LEFT side and walk right... it is decreasing, eh ?

OpenStudy (rational):

yes, both B and C options are correct

OpenStudy (rational):

but i would tick option B because the general convention is to describe the graph from LEFT-> RIGHT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you.. can you help me on some more please

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Right. It is very odd to describe increasing of decreasing behavior from "right to left". It does happen, but is unusual. I would first throw those out and find a suitable left-to-right as has been done. Post new questions on new threads, please.
