OpenStudy (ashy98):

In what ways are cellulose and starch similar to each other and in what ways are they different??? Be specific in your comparison, being sure to discuss both structure and function????

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

Starch and cellulose connects monosaccarides by glycosidic bond. Starch (Amylose/ Amylopectin) have alpha(1,4) linkage which human can digest. Cellulose have Beta(1,4) linkage which human cannot digest. However, we have bacteria in our colon aka large intestine that can break it down for us.
