01.05 Honors Assessment Imagine you are the manager of a media company. As part of your mission to educate the community, you want to create a public service announcement, or PSA, about citizen rights. A PSA is like an advertisement, but instead of trying to get you to buy something, the creators are making you aware of an important issue and may try to influence you to take action for a cause. In this case, you are informing your fellow citizens of the rights and protections given to them by your chosen amendments.
1. Choose two amendments to the Constitution from the slideshow to research. 2. Research the amendments to answer the following questions: o How does the amendment protect citizen rights? o Who supported it? Why did they support it? o Who did not support it? Why were they against it? o When was it introduced? o When was it ratified? o What history and events led to its ratification? 3. Create your PSA to teach your audience about the two amendments. You may choose your format. Options include video, podcast, and slide show. Please submit a written script along with any audio or video assessments. Also, remember that any part of your PSA that is not your original work should be properly cited. This includes quotes and illustrations, even if they are from this course.
