Sunni and Shia British Imams unite to condemn ISIS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKjAt6lIlgY In the spirit of education, anyone in this thread may ask a politically correct, or incorrect question that they want me to answer.
I don't see how this fits here. This is proselytizing.
It may be important to know from what viewpoint one answers a question, I think the appropriate place to put one's position on religion and politics is in their Bio's section of this site. This is a academic site and hopefully all views are in consideration, hopefully with some decorum and validity. If one reads Psalm chapter 12 you'll see what the Lord thinks of "freedom of speech" especially for those who believe they can say things with impunity perverting others paths.
@Munqith why not look at my post in a rational manner. If I wanted to proselytize someone I would have chosen another tactic. The ISIS does not exactly paint Islam in the nicest of images any bloke would know that. Anyway I guess I should provide a explanation of this irregular post which is different from most of my other posts. Another student at my school was curious to see if what the media was saying was true, that all Muslims were in support of the ISIS, and that the ISIS was Islamically valid. He was to shy to ask me directly so it took him quite awhile however I would have loved if he asked me early to addresses such very important questions. If you notice the lower part of my post more specifically: "In the spirit of education" part and the, "ask a politically correct, or incorrect question that they want me to answer." Point is most people are scared when asking about another persons beliefs, views or opinions. I dislike controversy, things need to be more open, I was hoping to encourage the people around this group to be more active in asking questions they they wanted to know but were to afraid to ask. This is not proselytizing for the reasons below: I mention the ISIS, allowing further discussion whether pro-Islam or con-Islam. I allow people their question, whether incorrect or correct. They want to know something, if I know the answers why not share the knowledge so everyone can take one step away from pan-bigotry? Peace. P.S. See some of the other questions I have asked, are they proselytizing probably not. I am here for my interest in religion not proselytizing people.
@Munqith Brilliant questions, I want to grab some sources before I post my reply so I hope you can wait. :-)
Sure. Go ahead.
