21x^3y^4 + 15x^2y^2 - 12xy^3 now first, just look at the numbers and find what goes into each number.....that number would be 3. Now look at the smallest x....that would be x Now look at the smallest y.... that would be y^2 these are what can be factored out 3xy^2 (7x^2y^2 + 5x - 4y)
