All teenagers should know their ambitions and passions most of all before anything else, and have the independence they need to sustain a confidence. I know of a lot of authority that oppresses against us and calls out our 'naivete', we're often seen as less mature and as less capable as than we really are, and the more this is criticized, we lose ambition and the empowerment we could have without so much of the authority. I believe so many of us are capable of a lot more than we are credited for...we aren't given much trust by the older generation, so we have to be forceful and demand our independence. We need the empowerment and encouragement, the more independence to sustain ourselves for the bettering of our own growth and making for the next generation. The more restrictions we have set against us by others are only taking our sense of selves away from us.
