hich of the following interpretations for the given sentence is correct? The product of 3p and q - 3. A. (3p + q) - 3 B. 3p(q - 3) C. 3p + (q - 3 D. 3pq - 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. 3p(q-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which do you think it is :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its D.. eh not sure though lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cuz in math the term "product" is refering to multiplication :). So when a number, in this case 3p, is next to a "( )" it is being multiplied. So therefore B - 3p(q-3) is correct :). Does that make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah yes:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha good, glad I could help ;)
