Find the slope of the line 8x - y = 15. call it m find the derivative of the f(x)= parabola. call it f '(x) set f '(2) = m use the info (3,13) is on the parabola to set up this equation 13= 9a +3b + c also (2,1) is on the parabola, so you also have 1 = 4a +b + c 3 equations, and 3 unknowns can be solved
