What is the rate of change for the interval between points A and C? Is it greater than, less than, or equal to the rate of change between points A and B?
i think it is 4 greater than points a- b
Give it a try. You can do it yourself..
i did i was checking to see if i was right
rate of change between A and C : slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) A = (1,-3)....x1 = 1 and y1 = -3 C = (3,5)...x2 = 3 and y2 = 5 now sub slope = (5 - (-3) / (3 - 1) slope = (5 + 3) / 2 slope = 8/2 slope = 4 rate of change between A and B slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) A = (1,-3)...x1 = 1 and y1 = -3 B = (2,0)...x2 = 2 and y2 = 0 now sub slope = (0 -(-3) / (2 - 1) slope = (0 + 3) / 1 slope = 3 rate of change (slope) of A and C is 4 rate of change (slope) of A and B is 3 so A and C is greater then A and B
any questions ?
nope i got it thanks
