Pappy's Pond is located close to an elementary school. The city plans to fence it in to keep small children from accessing the water. What is the perimeter of a triangular-shaped fence the city can place around the pond, using integer coordinates (no decimals) on the grid? You must show all work to receive credit. Help! what am I doing here?

Do you have a figure?

First, come up with a triangle which fits around the shape. Since you need to find the perimeter of the triangle, you can make your calculations easier if you use a vertical side and a horizontal side. The lengths of those two sides will be easy to find. Then use the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the third side. Then add the lengths of the three sides to find the perimeter of the triangle.
