If you graph parallelogram, you will see that it is not (3.5,7).  By extending the lines of the parallelogram to form a rectangle, find the midpoints of the rectangle. The x and y values for the rectangle midpoints will help you locate the coordinates where the diagonals of the parallelogram cross.
