Question

Hi there i like physics and wanna be a theoretical physicist but i also like engineering and am not sure between the two right now.Ive already finished 12th grade.I have got into reasonable good colleges for engineering but didnt get admission to any physics college.Should i take a gap year clear up my mind and give the jee next year as i didnt prepare for it this year or should i continue with engineering and do a carrier switch during post graduation.Also i wanna go to MIT,Princeton for post grad and i may also change my subject from engineering to physics.Do i need to be from IIT,IISC

Before you decide to be a theoretical physicsist.I would like to ask you to reconsider that as you maynot be aware of all the challenges in that field.You can decide upon that when you are doing your post grad.However if you are interested in Physics as a subject and Theoretical physics in particular,learning it is indeed very satisfying and rewarding.Im doin my Bachelor in Physics and would like to help you.
