b^2+ab factored

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(b + a) (b - b) I think just FOIL to see if it is right @amsmith357

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I thought at first but I don't think that's right because you end up with b^2-b^2+ab-ab

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh it would be b(b - a) as the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is that correct?? @amsmith357

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Doesn't that give you b^2-ab

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it does just FOIL that b b(b - a) \[b ^{2}- ab\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I need b^2+ab not b^2-ab

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh than it would be b(b + a) FOIL and its: \[b ^{2}+ab\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that would be right thank you
