someone please help me. Find the 3 smallest consecutive integers whose sum is at least 30

OpenStudy (bibby):

a consecutive integer would look something like x, x+1,...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you explain a little bit more please

OpenStudy (bibby):

3 consecutive integers are 3,4,5 so if x = 3, the next 2 are 3+1, and 3+2 or x+1, x+2 3 smallest consecutive integers whose sum is at least 30 (x+x+1+x+2) ? 30

OpenStudy (babalooo):

in other words, let x be the smallest of the 3 consecutive values to be added up for the sum of 30 (the smallest possible sum). then the other 2 consecutive value would be x+1 and x+2 so the 3 values would be x, x+1 and x+2. add those up and equate it to the smallest possible sum and simplify to get x as the smallest of the 3 consecutive values

ok thank you guys very much
