you drive a car for 2.0 h at 40.0 km/h, then for 2.0 h at 60 km/h. What is your average velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To calculate average velocity, simply recall the equation Total Distance = Average Speed * Total Time Taken. So find out the total distance travelled which is 2*40 + 2*60 = 200km and the total time is 4h, thus the average velocity is 200km/4h=50km/h
