***PLEASE HELP*** Medal and Fan Anyone read The Boarded Window or Beware of the dog

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Beware of the dog if you're not honors, The Boarded Window if you are. I read both and liked Beware of the dog better but I was honors so I had to go back and read the other.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i aloud to do the one that is honors of do i have to do the other one? im not honors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you're allowed to do any of them if you're not honors, I would ask your teacher just to make sure though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. because it seems interesting to me but i dont understand the questions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't really remember what the questions are, I was in this class last year. And yeah, I thought both were pretty interesting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, can you just explain to me what theme is, i haven't went over it in so long.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of the boarded window? i could write about it but this probably explains it better, http://www.enotes.com/topics/boarded-window http://www.storybites.com/book-reviews/the-boarded-window-by-ambrose-bierce.php

You could say one of the themes of the story is death. Murlock thought his wife was dead but awakes to find her alive being dragged by a panther and that troubles his mind. I would have to read the story again to explain better but read the links and you might be able to get something out of them

okay thanks. (:
