Go ahead and post your question:)!!! Someone will just come by around and give you the help you need!!:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3b = 5b - 6.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

I'll help you out!!:) Just let me know what you don't understand about. Ok?

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

To get the variable by itself, you need to the opposite of +5b. Instead of adding, you subtract:) Now your equation looks like this: \(\huge\color{red}{-}\) \(\huge{2b=-6}\) Do you know what's the next step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im lost on this whole thing..

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Did you understand what I did? Does it make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i get that part

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

ok:) Now we're not going to multiply but divide. Why divide? It's the opposite of multiplying. Correct? So now we divide by \(\huge{-2}\) because we need the variable by itself:) So when we divide both sides by \(\huge{-2}\) we get: \(\huge{b=3}\) \(\huge\color{red}{- + - = +}\) Two negatives become a posittive:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but thats not the answer :/

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Post your answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
