6n^3-9n^2-15n does anyone know how to solve this math problem? the answer to this question is 3n(2n-5)(n+1)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

It makes it much easier now that it's factored. The solutions for n can be found when the equation equals zero. What values does n take when 3n(2n-5)(n+1)=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you asking how did they come to the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IF that is the case - bring out the common factor from each term then factor what is left...

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Gee, maybe you are right JuanitaM. I just thought they wanted the solutions to the equation.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Well just in case you wanted the solutions they are: 2.5 -1 and 0
