rvc (rvc):

why r eddy currents circular?

rvc (rvc):

@Mashy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they try to take the shortest path possible! (least resistive path)

rvc (rvc):

if B is perpendicular to the metal plate then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats ur question!?

rvc (rvc):

y r eddy currents produced?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

electromagnetic induction.. change in magnetic flux

rvc (rvc):

that even i know so what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so .. if u change magnetic flux .. near a metallic or any conducting plate.. then it ll induce eddy currents trying to oppose that change..

rvc (rvc):

ok then y circular only circular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the induced currents will always be in a circle.. so as to produce a magnetic field opposing the cause.. in case of eddy currents.. they try to get as small circles as possible.. even when u have a coil.. the currents are circular right?

rvc (rvc):

yes thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur welcome ^_^
