OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

Given the data set for the height and shoe size of every student in a math class, hypothesize a relationship between the variables.

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

I would expect the data to be positively correlated. I would expect the data to be negatively correlated. I would expect no correlation. There is not enough information to determine correlation.

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

@hero

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

Ok so here are my conclusions: Cant be A or B because we dont know the data I dont know weather C or D

hero (hero):

You just admitted we don't know the data, so between C and D, what conclusion can we draw based on it. Can we determine a correlation if there's no data?

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

No, so the answer is simply D?

hero (hero):

Are you sure there's no data set? It says "Given the data set..." I don't think it would start off that way if there was no data given.

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

Ok so that makes it C because there shouldnt (naturally) be any correlation

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

hello? @Hero

hero (hero):

Do you have a given data set or not?

hero (hero):

I can't see the same thing you can see, but I just know that if it says "Given a data set", then there should be one. You first need to make sure there is or isn't one.
