Can some one help me with these word pattern problems?

I think the first one is D 900

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The "First Difference" will help you a lot. Here's the list. 6075 4050 2700 1800 1200 Here are the "first differences" 4050 - 6075 = -2,025 2700 - 4050 = -1,350 1800 - 2700 = -900 1200 - 1800 = -600 Do you see a pattern? I don't. Let's do it again. "2nd Differences" -1350 - (-2025) = 675 -900 - (-1350) = 450 -600 - (-900) = 300 How about now? Still kind of vague. Let's do it again. "3rd differences" 450 - 675 = -225 300 - 450 = -150 I'm not sure we are seeing a useful pattern, here. We could calcualte 4th differences and SAY we found a pattern. Let's try rations, instead. Here's the list. 6075 4050 2700 1800 1200 1st Ratios 4050/6075 = 2/3 2700/4050 = 2/3 1800/2700 = 2/3 1200/1800 = 2/3 I think we found a pattern. Guess 1200*(2/3) = 800

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Sometimes, you just have to explore a little.

thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

* ratios not "rations".
