how would you simplify this expression?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\left( \sqrt{a^8b^4} \right)/a^2b\]

OpenStudy (agreene):

start by converting your exponents so you can work easier \[\large \left(a^8b^4 \right)^{\frac12}*a^{-2}b^{-1}\]

OpenStudy (agreene):

actually, now that im thinking about it, that really doesnt matter, since we dont know a,b are positive or real

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I figured it out, thank you :)
