Does the function have an inverse function. They just give you the graph. I know it doesn't have an inverse I just don't know how to explain it in words if someone could help me out.

You might be using the horizontal line test to determine this (checking if any horizontal line passes through two or more points of the graph or not) For that, you would simply say "the graph does not pass the horizontal line test, so it has no inverse function".
