-√100 = -10. A whole number is any integer e.g. -2, -1, 0, 1, 2... These continue to -infinity and infinity A natural number is any counting number e.g. 1, 2, 3... These begin at 1 and continue in the positive direction. Therefore -√100 is a whole number and not a natural number
