OpenStudy (tywower):

How are the protists with flagella similar to the protists with cilia?

OpenStudy (tywower):

They both are able to move food particles toward themselves. They both get all their food by hunting other unicellular organisms. They both produce spores in order to reproduce. They both can live in or out of moist environments.

OpenStudy (tywower):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say A, as that's what cilia do. But flagella are really used for movement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, the answer is probably B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cilia and flagella can both be used for movement to hunt for food.
