OpenStudy (anonymous):

Key: "how many are left" "how many are left" \(\neq\) "how many are alive" Hence therew are still 7 fish, regardless of how fish managed to drown

OpenStudy (perl):

can fish 'drown' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm, Or answer may be 4, since you "take out" 3 fish outside into air, hence they "drown" in air.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A fish can drown in a pond that does not have an adequate supply of oxygen. In that case, if there were 7 live fish in a pond and 3 drowned, there would be 4 live fish left.

OpenStudy (perl):

but the fish do not disappear when they 'drown' , so there are 7 left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, question never said "how many are left ALIVE"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7
