A certain quantity decays exponentially over time. The initial quantity at t = 0 is 25,000. The quantity decays at a rate of 5%. What is the quantity at t = 3? A. 3.125 B. 21,434.375 C. 28,940.625 D. 3,125,000.000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im thinking the answer is c because i did, 25,000(1.05)^3 and then got 28,940.625

OpenStudy (perl):

your solution doesn't make sense intuitively. since it is 'decaying' it should get smaller
