I personally think that measuring in
millimeters, centimeters, decimeters, meters ... and on (where they are all in tens)
is better than the American way with Inches feet yards and miles.

Only in US they meause like this, and just among regular people. I've heard that in military and other important places they use metric system (if I am naming it correctly).
