Cut your veins to find out... Heterogenous means that separate parts of a mixture are visible. Homogenous is the oposite. Mixture doesn't really need defining.

Blood is a complicated mixture. The rest depends on how closely you look. To the naked eye it appears homogeneous. Under a microscope it is clearly heterogeneous, with different kinds of cells and liquid plasma.
