I need help with the first assignment. For exercise 1.4 it asks to use IDLE to calculate √7 + 9 × 2, my question is how do I enter a square root?

Here's two ways:

>>> import math
>>> math.sqrt( 4 )
2.0
>>> 4**.5
2.0

If the first doesn't make sense, use the second.
